Two Identical Neighborhoods: Our community features two separate neighborhoods, laid out identically to minimize confusion when residents come together for activities.
Spacious Dining Area: Residents enjoy meals in a large, open dining room with high ceilings, creating a welcoming, home-like atmosphere.
Comfortable Common Area: A cozy common space with a large television is perfect for residents to enjoy their favorite entertainment, just as they would at home. Popular programming includes game shows, musicals, westerns, classic movies, and Hallmark favorites—especially around Christmas.
Social Events: We host regular TV and popcorn socials in this common area, bringing fun and relaxation to our residents.
Bird Aviary: Both neighborhoods feature a beautiful bird aviary that residents love. They especially enjoy when “the bird guy” visits to clean the aviary, turning it into an engaging activity!
Private Bathrooms: Each resident room includes a private bathroom with a walk-in/roll-in shower, designed for independence, comfort, and safety.
Room Options: We offer a range of accommodations, including private and shared rooms. While most rooms are private, we also have more affordable shared room options, subject to availability.
Ice Cream Parlor: Residents can indulge in our Ice Cream Parlor any time, but it’s a highlight of the week during our scheduled parlor social. With nostalgic music, laughter, and delicious treats like cookies, cones, sundaes, floats, and banana splits, it’s a crowd favorite.
Activity Outings: We regularly take residents on outings, sometimes staying on the bus to enjoy scenic drives or safely disembarking for fun excursions. Destinations have included The Federal Reserve Museum, The Truman Library, Corner Café, pumpkin patches, parks, and Christmas in the Park.
On-site Beauty Shop: Our beauty shop is open weekly for both men and women. Residents can sign up for services, and our beautician works with staff to ensure everyone enjoys a relaxing and familiar experience.
Pet Therapy: Regular pet visits are a hit with our residents. Some are therapy dogs, while others are trained companion animals. Families are also welcome to bring pets to visit, provided we receive vaccination records in advance.
Skilled Nursing Care: Our Director of Nursing and Administrator are both RNs, while our charge nurses (LPNs) are on-site 24/7. CNAs provide daily hands-on care to ensure residents’ needs are met.
Therapy Services: Although we don’t have in-house therapy, we partner with Centerwell Home Health to offer physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Their therapists have been working with our residents for nearly 15 years and are highly skilled in providing care to those with dementia.
Hospice Services: We collaborate with a variety of local hospice providers, giving families the choice of who will care for their loved ones during this important time.
Included Services: Laundry services, daily housekeeping, and maintenance are all included in the monthly cost.
Social Services: Our social services team helps coordinate transportation, companionship, grief support, and care management. They also assist with outside physician visits, depression and anxiety assessments, equipment referrals, home health therapies, and Medicaid placement if necessary.
Family Support Group: We offer a regular family support group open to both the families of our residents and community members who are caring for loved ones with dementia. This group provides education, emotional support, and a shared understanding of the dementia journey.
